Same Idea – 2 Price Points – Gray Pants

Same Idea - 2 Price Points - Gray Pants

Two Price Points

Let’s face it, the amount of money a teacher can spend on clothes is less than what an executive has available to spend.  Therefore, the items these two women purchase will most likely be very different.

However, just because the pieces of clothing will be different, it doesn’t mean that the overall “look” has to be significantly different, right?

Shown above is a very similar look, but with a very different overall price tag.

Where to Wear?

Let’s just keep it simple, today.  Wear these looks to work.

Investment Pieces

Pants, shoes, purses, watches, and pearl earings.  I can see you wearing these pieces over and over again.  Can’t you?

Thoughts

It’s Monday morning.  However, that is perfectly fine with you because you are ready for the week.  This past weekend, you did laundry, you chose your outfits for this week, you planned your lunches and dinners, and you got that manicure and pedicure that has been on your to-do-list for three weeks.  (Wow, that’s so weird, that’s been on my list, too).

A bit too ambitious?  Well, let’s say that you only did one of these things.  That’s alright, because every little bit helps.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to prepare for the week ahead.  It does not really matter whether you are an executive at a large corporation or an elementary school teacher.  Preparation is equally important to all of us.

Let’s take on this week and show it what we are made of…determination, courage, excellence, and perseverance.   Yes, you are made of all those things, plus more!!

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing week.

Fondly, Sonya

Why Not?

Why Not?

Why Not, What?

Why not wear saddle shoes as an adult?  Who says you cannot?  Just because children wear them in all those private schools, doesn’t mean that you can’t wear them, too.

This is a simple jeans and tee look.  The saddle shoes and necklace give it a bit of pizazz.  Who doesn’t need a little pizazz every once in a while?

Where to Wear?

This is certainly a casual look, so wear it to all of your casual “stuff.”  Wear it to the movies, to a casual lunch or dinner, to Saturday morning breakfast out, to visit friends, shopping, etc.

Wear this look to wherever you darn please, except, don’t wear those shoes when picking up your daughter from that private school…that would just be weird. 🙂

Investment Pieces

I suppose you could argue that every item in this outfit could be an investment.  But, you may not want to argue, because arguing is rarely fun.

Thoughts

Hope your day was full of fun and pizazz, today.

Happy day, my lovelies.  Fondly, Sonya

A Knit Cape for Fall

A Knit Cape for Fall

Cape

What do y’all think about capes for fall and maybe winter?  Are they warm enough?  I’m not a huge fan of them on me, but I love how they look on everyone else.

Where to Wear

This is a fun, rather youthful outfit…wear it to most casual events. Again, if you have a casual office, wear it to work as well.

When the weather gets colder, add some tights and knee, or over the knee high boots.

Happy Wednesday, thanks for stopping by!!

Work Week – Business Meetings

Work Week - Business Meetings

Investment Work Wear

Every item in this outfit is an investment piece and also a work wear staple.  If you have these items in your work wardrobe then getting ready in the mornings shouldn’t be difficult at all.  In addition, all of these items can be mixed and matched with just about anything else in your wardrobe, to create multiple outfits and looks.

Simple Color Combination

Black, gray and white are easy colors to combine together to create a cohesive look.  Obviously, you can add some color to this outfit, too.

Some days, when I get dressed for work, I just want something that I know looks good and requires little thought in putting together.  On those days, this is the type of outfit I choose.

What do y’all wear on days where don’t want to think about what you are going to wear?

Thanks for stopping by…have a wonderful work week.

Investment – Blazers

Investment - Favorite Blazers

Blazers

What’s not to love…I would like all of these in my closet, please.  Would that be too much?  Nope!!

If you work in an office setting, you won’t go wrong if you start investing in blazers.  Blazers work perfectly for work. (Ooops, I just got jam on my keyboard…rule of thumb people – don’t eat jam while typing on your computer.)

Blazers work well with pants, skirts, dresses, jeans, pretty much with anything.  Start with colors you love and those that coordinate with your current wardrobe.  Find styles that compliment your body type.  If need be, have your blazers altered to get that perfect fit.  Even an inexpensive blazer will look amazing if the fit is proper.

Can you tell I love blazers?
